On the afternoon of April 14, the Chinese Ambassador to Senegal Mr. Xiao Han headed a delegation to visit the United Nations Office Building Project. Qi Pan, Vice President of Société Zhengwei Technique Sénégal SARL and Zhang Weihua, Project Chief Engineer received the ambassador and his delegation.

Accompanied by Vice President Qi Pan and Chief Engineer Zhang Weihua, Ambassador Xiao and his colleagues visited the construction site and the living area of employees in the project, listened to reports on the project management mode, construction progress, on-site staffing, and epidemic prevention and control of COVID-19, and had a detailed understanding of the difficulties in carrying out the project. Ambassador Xiao spoke highly of the on-site management, team development, and epidemic prevention. Regarding the differences between Chinese and foreign standards as well as difficulties in sample confirmation, he shared the experience and lessons of other Chinese enterprises and stressed the need to accumulate experience and lessons so as to continuously improve the project management.
Ambassador Xiao said that the embassy will continue to create a harmonious business atmosphere for the Chinese enterprises in Senegal, hoping that the UN office building project will progress more smoothly so as to build an excellent construction brand of China and set a benchmark for the Chinese enterprises to open up a new mode of investment, construction, and operation in Senegal.

In addition, the Ambassador also brought a piece of good news about COVID-19 control. After making many coordination efforts, the embassy has obtained some COVID-19 vaccines and will make arrangements to vaccinate the Chinese people in Senegal. Everyone was excited to hear the good news. On behalf of the company staff working in Senegal, Vice President Qi Pan expressed gratitude to the motherland and the embassy, voicing the determination to make the project a success so as to live up to the expectations of the embassy and all other parties.
