On the afternoon of June 2, the commencement ceremony of Guinea Airport Wall Project was grandly held on the project site. Minister of Transport, Minister of Finance, Minister of Urban Planning, the owner representatives and others from all walks of life were invited to attend the ceremony. The commencement ceremony was presided over by the technical manager of the Guinean side, and the National Television Station of Guinea carried out a follow-up report throughout the whole process.
The owner representatives and the Minister of Transport delivered speeches respectively. The Minister of Transport said: "The construction of the new wall of Conakry-Gbessia International Airport officially started today, marking the beginning of the airport expansion initiated by the President of the Republic Alpha Condé. I hope WIETC can make this project a high-quality benchmarking project and enhance the city image of Conakry."

During the ceremony, Jin Xinghai, deputy general manager of Guinea Zhengwei, and Liang Weibing, project leader of Guinea Airport Project, donated footballs, jerseys, training equipment and other sports goods to the local football association on behalf of the company, which was widely praised.
According to the plan of the Guinea Airport Wall Project, 8481m of precast concrete wall, 1882m of metal wall, 4600m of drainage ditch, 6220m of internal patrol road and 1680m of fire road will be built. After the completion of the project, the image and operation safety of Conakry Airport will be greatly enhanced.
